Kojey Radical Delivers New Single ‘Expensive’ Featuring Planet Giza

ree

Artful and simply poetry in motion, East London musician Kojey Radical releases his romantic new single, ‘Expensive’ featuring Planet Giza.

Always known for pure expression and authenticity, Kojey Radical demonstrates why love is the oldest labour, which if anything adds more to its value

Produced by Swindle, the track has a pattering percussion that moves light-footed, threading a danceable beat that is both deep-feeling and fun, reflecting potential romance.

It lays the foundation for Kojey Radical’s baritone as he remarks on meeting someone and how quickly events can escalate. He explores how expensive it is in modern dating is in more ways than one. It can cost time, as well as money, when worth can be measured by the positive and negative experiences.

Planet Giza’s chorus is a nice, sharp approach which adds sensuousness to the track and provides the feeling that you are listening to the Neptunes from back in the day.

Radical’s looming album Don't Look Down is 16 tracks long and set for release on 19th September. This follows his debut Reason to Smile,  which was nominated for a number of awards, including a Mercury Prize and two MOBO Awards

With Don't Look Down, it’s official that the full tracklist will be revealed at 5pm this Friday in Shoreditch, via a mural painted by Marc at MurWalls in an effort to get back to more traditional methods of promotion.
