Kenzie TTH’s New EP Is Titled ‘We Stayed Too Long’, But She Is Certainly Here To Stay

One of the most exciting artists currently in the music industry, Kenzie TTH, in her most honest and self-reflective record yet ‘We Stayed Too Long’, immaculately displays that her music can be used as a vehicle for catharsis for herself, whilst simultaneously acting as a safe space for listeners alike to confide in. The album is Kenzie TTH’s exceptionally brave way of introducing listeners to her vulnerabilities, and in return has allowed her to create an exceptional body of work, and one that is a massively bold statement on her progressive upwards trajectory.

A project largely about learning to accept the ephemeral nature of life and finding closure around the way we are, talking on ‘We Stayed Too Long’, Kenzie TTH explains: “I just wanted to write something honest - something that isn't self-conscious about where it fits within the zeitgeist or cultural lexicon. I really just hope it reaches the people who resonate with it, and finishing it and putting it out honestly feels like an achievement.”

Through her latest release, Kenzie TTH has allowed herself to take full control over her creative output, and has navigated her way down her own artistic path. In doing so, she has built a world around her that is authentic to who she is, and allowed her to collaborate with innovators and peers who completely understand what she wanted to gain from this record. As a songwriter, Kenzie TTH explains: “Writing music is different; I can kind of just let everything flow out of me and worry about analysing it later. It’s a way to process. I started making music because it felt like a compulsion, and on top of the therapy and catharsis that comes with creating music and of all the accompanying factors and facets, it’s also a way for me to tell a story when I don’t really know how else to.”

Having already accomplished so much within the music industry, conceptualising and producing her own BBYTTH magazine and featuring in the most recent Bottega Veneta campaign along other incredible artist such as Arca, Little simz, Neneh Cheery, Nubya Garcia, Slowthai and Skepta amongst others, it seems inevitable that with the release of 'We Stayed Too Long', that if the world didn't already know about Kenzie TTH, they will now.
