Jed With The Help Of Singer Elle Takes A Close Look At Their Hometown In New Single 'Another Day'

JED links up with Elle for a second time for his newest single ‘Another Day’. The pair are both from Brighton and have worked together previously on garage tune ‘Tru Love’, which got support from radio stations like Kiss FM, Rinse FM and BBC Radio Devon.

JED demonstrates his ability as a storyteller in ‘Another Day’ as he paints a bleak picture of ordinary life positioning himself as a witness to people shackled to their hometown possessing either hope or aspiration to break the mould.

It tackles the theme of home and the difficult relationship you have it when you feel imprisoned by your environment and circumstances. JED raps about what is happening in the town he grew up and attempts to voice the problems people face.

Lyrical content Dark in nature, the protagonist turns to substance to deal with their dissatisfaction with life which contrasts with the upbeat pop sound of the track's production. Featuring on the hook, chorus and at the beginning of the track, Elle’s powerful vocals adds richness to the track complimenting Jed as she weaves an artful spell.

JED says this track is the beginning of a new creative direction, “I’m starting to write a lot more about the culture I grew up in, both the good and bad. Another Day was the first I wrote in that vein and it really set the tone for the rest of the upcoming EP.”

We are excited to hear about the upcoming project and the new side of himself that Jed is planning to share with us, however, a date has not been confirmed yet.
