Run to the sea.
Hatton Labs...the London jewelers responsible for a vitrine of precious gemstones evoke a visit to the treasure chest long overdue.
A pastiche seamlessly weaves imagery of heirlooms and trinkets as if presented on a desert blanket, where an elastic chain becomes festooned with pearls of coral, scallop and pink peppercorn.

Inspired by scandal...La Croisette, the collections title, draws its name from one of France's most infamous jewelry heists. With the scene set in Cannes, the 2013 score at the Carlton Hotel resulted in not a single arrest...much to the chagrin of an Israeli billionaire.
Unexpectedly, the heist has now become a tale that effortlessly adds to the splendor and spellbinding aura of the Riviera...where diamonds, yachts and palm trees work in tandem.
A kasbah with a sparkling moat takes shape as necklace; while a razzmatazzed hall of mirrors forms itself into a bejeweled ring.
With petulant shades of Klimt, lilac and thistle...Hatton Labs unyieldingly delivers a collection with the clang and clatter of a modern effigy beset by an art deco sensibility.
A ministry of treasure with not a single feather in sight.
Necklaces and bracelets etched in Medina blue give way to pearls that are smeared in the dust of an African late summer afternoon.
Noting on a concord of metallic prose, the exhibit also features metal that is synched and calibrated to fit.

Ultimately a jubilant collection, Hatton Labs explores history from the vantage point of play...where nothing is either too little or too much, and with a collection of jewelry as seen caught in the immeasurable space between treasure chest and gallery.
