Aaron Taylor Shares Soothing New Single ‘Coffee In The Morning’

Overflowing with metaphors and a laid-back soulfulness, South London’s Aaron Taylor is expressing a desire to feel needed in new single ‘Coffee In The Morning’.

Speaking on his first track of 2023, Taylor shares that “‘Coffee in the Morning’ describes wanting to be everything to a person, an indispensable presence in their life. Songs like this tend to be born out of my own self-esteem, but needing a ‘pick me up’ in life to function felt universal, particularly using the metaphor of coffee, and ultimately led to what I hope is a relatable ballad that underpins the theme of the forthcoming EP. The song uses electric and acoustic guitars in a way I haven’t done previously and it was fun to focus on writing and producing in a way that reflected the simplicity of the concept.”

This single release coincides with the announcement of Taylor’s new EP Have A Nice Day, which will be available from 31st March. Serving as his first project since his dazzling debut album ICARUS (2020), the five-track EP will include Taylor’s previous single ‘Ebbs and Flows’ as well as ‘Coffee In The Morning’.
