Per Götesson’s Traces and Places

This Autumn Winter Collection commemorates Per Götesson’s journey. In sustainable workwear, collaborative garments, and talismanic jewellery, we see, feel and touch the studio’s past. The Quotidian objects hold secrets, they represent the secrets of the home we protect, the lives we leave behind, and those that travel with us into new lives. The broken glass and paper serve as a reminder of ephemeral beauty and its fragility.

For this Collection, Per Götesson, and creative/romantic partner- Husam el Odeh continue to blend masculine and feminine. The manipulation of Digitoile technology in the destructed denim and work wear allows Per Gotesson to construct its own visual language, the handcrafted jewellery finds its home in Götesson’s subversive archive.

The studio’s memories bleed into the clothes. Per Götesson’s signature process-led designs radiate through the double-layered bomber. The past’s contribution to the future is illustrated by the continued collaboration with Kathy McGee of Digitoile. The unique patterns generated by the Digitoile technique immortalise a transient moment in the process. This is stylised in the denim wool uniform set, a collaboration with Callum Baylis. The idea of fleeting memories and the human desire to give power to superficial objects is embodied by the traces of keys, scissors and necklaces that are spray painted on garments. Drawcord jeans with keys imprinted on the waist, symbolise a masculine uniform.
