ILẸ WA: WE ARE SOUL, Marmalade Collective, and JCDecaux Community Channel Unveil UK-Wide Celebration

In a groundbreaking collaboration, WE ARE SOUL has joined forces with Marmalade Collective and the JCDecaux Community Channel to introduce ILẸ WA, a remarkable UK-wide campaign celebrating culture and heritage. This innovative community-based platform is set to showcase the works of 41 global contributing creatives on hundreds of billboards across the country, making it a truly unforgettable celebration.

The month of October took on new significance with ILẹ̀ Wa, coinciding with the UK Black History Month. This unprecedented collaboration promises to be a momentous occasion, bringing together a profound and meaningful collection of photography, art, and poetry that reflects the richness and diversity of African and Caribbean culture.

Curated in-house, ILẹ̀ Wa stands as a testament to the artistic excellence of African and Caribbean photographers, artists, and poets. More than just a display of creative talent, this project serves as a philanthropic endeavor, seamlessly blending visual art and storytelling to create a powerful narrative that resonates with audiences across the nation.

"ILẹ̀ Wa transcends a book, a film, or a phrase; it binds us. It is to inspire all of us to continue to uplift our community, our culture, and to evoke joy, creativity, and free expression. This, for our people and our land," shares the visionary minds behind the project.

One of the project's key strengths lies in its reach. With the support of JCDecaux Community Channel, the campaign is set to make a significant impact by reaching over 18 million people across London alone. This expansive reach ensures that ILẹ̀ Wa's message of unity, celebration, and cultural pride resonates far and wide.

The collaboration's emphasis on community engagement is evident in its commitment to showcasing the works of global contributing creatives. By bringing together a diverse array of perspectives, ILẹ̀ Wa not only celebrates the past and present but also serves as a catalyst for conversations about the future.

As the billboards illuminate the cultural landscapes of cities and towns throughout the UK, ILẹ̀ Wa invites everyone to participate in this fusion of art and culture. Whether you're strolling through the city streets or pausing to admire the creative expressions on display, the campaign encourages all individuals to become part of the narrative, fostering a sense of pride and connection within the community.

In a world where visual storytelling has the power to transcend boundaries, ILẹ̀ Wa stands as a shining example of how art and culture can come together to create a lasting impact. As the campaign unfolds across the nation, it is poised to leave an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those who encounter its message, solidifying its place as a beacon of cultural celebration and unity.
