This up and coming South London singer is giving us a second single after debuting her first track back in 2018: 'My Love'.
Full of harmonies and jazzy hooks, Geneivah takes us on a journey through her thoughts with this new single via Trash Like You in an attempt to display vulnerability, 'Fear' is a track that focuses on limitations.
"Fear is a subjective construct of the mind that has the ability to stop us from doing what we need to do." Geneivah says about the new track. "However big or small that fear, once we get over it, the pride we feel within ourselves is incomparable. I wrote this song at a time I was in real internal conflict. I saw who I was and knew what I could become but I was restricted by fear and the limitations I put on myself. I think I grew tired of using fear as an excuse."
Geneivah spent many of her younger years attending church where her musical creativity flourished. Her passion was drawn from her own personal life experiences with inspirations from Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Fred Hammond and India Arie. More specifically 'Strange Fruit' by Ella Fitzgerald which sparked Geneivah's artistic spark at 8 years old.
Geneivah wants to tell a story with her music with hopes that she can show an authentic view of her own life, both highs and lows and letting her listeners know that they are not alone.

Geneivah's headline show is on the 11th March 2020 at Sebright Arms.
