Born and raised in Tottenham, Jordy is an upcoming rapper and artist that's been making subtle waves within the scene. The 24 year old is also a part of the growing collective Vibbar, which is named after 'vibes' in Swedish. Growing up listening to the likes of 50 Cent and Ludacris, this is where his love of rapping started to begin. Jordy then started listening to Grime, he tried it out but as of right now his influences lye with Jay Z, Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar, Ghetts and Frank Ocean. If you are a fan of Ghetts, you may have already heard him on Ghetto Gospel: The New Testament on track Spiritual Warfare, which Jordy says is the highest point in his career so far.
Now based in Essex, Jordy recently put out a project entitled Have A Good Summer which consists of 3 tracks. Looking back at his current influences, this comes to no surprise as his pen game is hard. In track A13, a personal favourite of mine we see Jordy effortlessly shows off his lyrical ability and laid back flows on the wavey track produced by The Confect as well as on Visions produced by New Machine. The second track on the project named Regular features Tiggs Da Author and was produced by both The Confect and Naldo. On Regular we see Jordy and Tiggs Da Author both vibsing out, again showing his ability and versatility musically, Jordy proves why he is one watch this year.
We can't wait to hear whats next from him! Follow Jordy's Instagram here.
