Travis Scott Unveils 'The Plan' For The Motion Picture 'TENET'

The Houston rapper dropped a surprise song and visuals for the soundtrack of a brand new Christopher Nolan spy film starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. The film announcement also came with commemorative Cactus Jack merchandise and a digital single available to purchase from the Travis Scott website.

The track doesn't come as a shock to have been produced since Travis Scott has voiced before that he would have always loved to do a song for a film. 'The Plan' is Travis' first jump into the world of movie soundtracks and acts as a strong fit to Nolan's thrilling new spy-movie addition. Whilst we listen to Travis' delivery over an eerie and tense beat, it's reminiscent of Scott's earlier mixtapes such as Days Before Rodeo, a classic sound that many Travis have enjoyed to hear within this new track. Produced by the Grammy award winning Ludwig Göransson, who also worked on the Black Panther soundtrack, and WondaGurl, 'The Plan' has a steady beat that is contrasted by melodic choruses, with short moments of calmness allowing time for the energy to cool off.

An interview not too long ago with GQ had Nolan referring to Travis Scott as a "final piece of a year-long puzzle". He thought that his "insights into the musical and narrative mechanism Ludwig Göransson and I were building were immediate, insightful, and profound.” When asked about TENET, Scott himself was almost speechless on how to describe it for us. "I can’t even explain it. You literally just have to watch it. It’s very fire.”
