After years of making vibrant hits and a voice that still remains instantly recognisable, Sean Paul doesn’t seem to be slowing things down this year. Most of us would have spotted his recent appearance in the Love Island Villa, performing ‘Gimme The Light’ along with his new song ‘Calling On Me’ featuring the grammy award winning singer-songwriter Tove Lo.
The dancehall-pop track marks Sean Paul’s first release of the year and follows two songs that Tove Lo premiered last month. He reveals that ‘Calling On Me’ “reflects the real side of love” and that “if you love someone the energy doesn’t ever change. They are able to call on you at all times.” Sean Paul holds the title of being one of the legendary pioneers of the old school and reggae genre but he is also known for consistently dipping into other genres and collaborating with artists from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Migos and David Guetta, just to name a few.
