Ryahn's New Single Channels Her Inner 'Popstar'

Ryahn is a 20-year old songstress from Florida based in LA and has been making a major come up in R&B. With previous singles "Baby Boy”, “Ease Your Mind” and “Studio” Ryahn has been able to showcase her vocals effortlessly - each one is a vibe.

Ryahn's latest single “Popstar” is produced by the genre-bending Sango. This single is filled with intimacy laced on top of infectious melodies and her distinctly rich and smooth vocals. “Popstar” is about manifesting your dreams and references a type of love where young women conform to the idea of what their partner sees them to be. In an interview with Paper Magazine she stated “I’m also referencing a love where I'm offering to be apart of someone’s fantasy, and speaking on a situation where you wanna be everything you can be for that person, but at the same time asking for reassurance and acknowledgment that they know who you are and what it takes to be you”.

The visuals for the video were shot in tropical Brazil in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro where she’s seen walking on sandy beaches, hanging out solo and also with her friends by the pool. The concept of the video correlates perfectly with the mood of the track. Ryahn has mentioned an upcoming EP which is soon to be released and we can’t wait to see what the songstress has to come.
