Priya Ragu Doesn’t Disappoint In Groovey New Cut Entitled “Good Love 2.0”

With just a few predecessors to her catalog thus far, Tamil-Swiss artist Priya Ragu has already cultivated a dedicated fanbase who are eager for her refreshing take on R&B, however after listening to her music you’ll realise it would be a disservice to pigeonhole Priya’s artistry. The songstress channels her heritage into every release by incorporating South Indian instrumentation alongside the atmospheric penchant of the Tamil Cinema’s legendary Kollywood composers such as A.R. Rahman, Ilaiyaraaja and Deva.

Now under the wing of Warner Records, Priya Ragu is ready to hit the ground running, with her first single under the label titled ‘Good Love 2.0’.

The new record is enriched with an infectious optimism that is decorated by the songstresses multiple inspirations. Resulting in an immersive, feel-good melodic offering that begs for a replay — thanks to the combined wordsmith of Priya and her brother, Japhna Gold (who also produces the music).

Accompanied by a vibrant video layered with a retro tone and is shot in Goa earlier in the year. Taking on a hands on approach, Priya self-cast the cut by searching through social media to source a director, a stylist and a lead role.

During the record Priya projects her idea of an idealistic first love, elaborating on that she says it’s, “Beyond religion, beyond cast, beyond colour. It’s the feeling nothing can tear you apart because it’s so strong.”
