Pop Smoke Shakes The Room With 'Meet The Woo 2'

Pop Smoke is a Brooklyn, New York native that has had an impactful in Hip Hop run since the release of his impactful hit single Welcome To The Party. Pop Smoke is a pioneer of a new sound emerging from the city of New York which infuses UK Drill instrumentals with the raw and unapologetic Brooklyn sound with short intervals between lines and high energy feel, impossible not to dance to. 'Meet the Woo' was Pop Smoke's introduction to the rap world that brought us huge records such as Dior, Hawk Em and more. Since then Pop Smoke has gone on to collaborate with the likes of H.E.R, Lil TJay and most notably Travis Scott on the smash hit 'Gatti' off the Jackboys compilation project, released in late 2019.

However the rise of Pop Smoke has not been completely smooth, although the music has consistently spoken for itself from the beginning, with multiple street altercations and recently being arrested at the JFK Airport in New York after his return from Paris Fashion Week for a stolen Rolls Royce. Although he is out on bail the Welcome To The Party rapper is still fighting the case, however, this gave Pop Smoke the opportunity to complete his latest release Meet The Woo 2. He kicked off the run for the new release with the menacing single 'Christopher Walking'.

Meet The Woo 2 is slightly different from his prior project as Pop Smoke decides to make this a more collaborative effort with artists such as Quavo, A Boogie, Favio Foreign and Lil TJay. Pop Smoke also features his Charlie Sloth freestyle on this project, using the Headie One 'Know Better' Instrumental as an ode to the UK Artist, who is widely recognised as the #1 Drill artist at this current time. The project opens up with more of the same intensive and dark sound we are used to from Pop Smoke with Invincible, other standouts on this project include 'Sweetheart' featuring Fellow Brooklyn native Favio Foreign and Shake The Room Featuring Quavo. Meet the Woo 2 is a fluid listen with little to no suprises, but that's exactly what many would want from the rising artist as he consistently impiments his sound into the ears of the masses.
