Germany’s golden boy Kelvyn Colt is back with all-new track, “HOPE | I Wonder.”
Although the song touches on the current state of our world and the beauty of taking a moment to feel empathy, to reflect and imagine yourself in someone else’s shoes. There is still an element of hope that permeates throughout the song, a sense of power and change. This is translated into the minimalistic concept and black and white visuals that show Kelvyn emotively performing his lyrics.
“HOPE | I Wonder” deploys delicate piano movements before gradually building as more instruments kick in. Providing the perfect backdrop for the rapper’s poignant vocals to take centre stage. As he explores themes of vulnerability, hopelessness, and perseverance. The profoundly personal track sees the German artist take a deep dive into his deepest thoughts.
Speaking on the track, Kelvyn states: “Our generation, living in the western hemisphere, has not witnessed as many radical changes to everyday life upon this level until the beginning of 2020. Thus, I wish that this song will give people hope amidst their despair, letting them know that they are not alone with what they’re going through.”
