Jasmine Jethwa Releases Debut Single "Running Circles"

South London upcoming artist Jasmine Jethwa shares her debut single “Running Circles” accompanied by an aesthetically pleasing music video. Jasmine is a twenty-one-year-old Anglo-Indian singer and songwriter and she creates alternative folk driven songs. She is a new talent, from Crystal Palace, with an incredible voice and a bright future ahead of her.

In this incredible new track, Jasmine blends her powerful and full of harmony vocals with a soothing guitar riff that floods the listener with emotion. The clip shares a style of DIY video shot on Super8 film by a close friend and collaborator, Leah Rustomjee that sees her exploring places in South London that played a part in her growth as an artist.

Speaking of her single Jasmine says:

“‘Running Circles’ was born out of a situation where I felt like I was caught in a cycle of nothing being the right thing or good enough, or what people imagined. Writing this song was cathartic and helped me process and move past those feelings.”

She also mentions that her passion for music began with her classical dance training in modern and jazz. Some of her key influences in lyricism and production are Bon Iver, Joni Mitchell, Brandy and James Fauntleroy (Cocaine 80s). We personally loved the track and her debut is for sure great and memorable! We can't wait to see what's next from her!
