Jaden Smith Enlists A$AP Rocky, Kid Cudi & More for 'ERYS'

Jaden Smith has just released his latest album ERYS which follows up from his 2017 sophomore album SYRE. Jaden's artistry and ability to evolve and innvotate has never gone un-noticed homing from one of the most talented families around, it's only natural. After announcing the album and track list earlier this week, Jaden also released the lead single from the album titled Again during his interview on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe. Again delivers a mix of both projects (SYRE & ERYS) starting off with a heavy trap influence however the second half takes more slow-tempo beat, creating more of a vulnerable effect. As a taster to the album it set the ending of SYRE and the beginning of ERYS perfectly acting as a great transitional point. In the interview with Zane Lowe, Jaden described both albums having different personalities “Syre is the nice one, kind of the more sensitive one and Erys is just kind of like, don’t really care at all.”

ERYS is made up of 17 tracks + 2 bonus tracks and a remix featuring A$AP Rocky. As far as features go Tyler, The Creator, Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Willow (Smith), Trinidad James and Lido all feature on the album. The album opens up with P which is a piano-centred, vulnerable and moody introduction. The following tracks I, N and K also help set the tones of the album. I brings back the trap element, N is a direct glance into his world and K brings back through the relevance of the guitar which also shows light in tracks like Fire Dept which reveals a more hardcore essence. Tyler, The Creator features on track NOIZE which again delivers a reckless feel, which in comparison to Summertime In Paris featuring Willow is more of a feel good tune with a catchy melody. A$AP Rocky and Kid Cudi come through with there verses on both Chateau and On My Own. The album takes you on a journey through many genre's but the majority of the album carries a more melodic and mellow sound.
