Introducing Bristol's Rising Songstress, Ava Lily, Generating A Distinct & Luscious Sound Of RnB

Paving a lane of her own, Ava Lily is a name you should be looking out for. Intertwining her glowing and butter-like vocals in with Alternative R&B and Lo-Fi sounds, the Bristol native has created a refreshing and angelic vessel of sound that the ever-growing British RnB scene was in need of.

Hailing from Bristol, nestled in the South-West of England, a youthful Ava Lily remembers vivid memories of watching her mother listening to Tracy Chapman and feeling an overwhelming sense of emotion. Introduced to an array of various artists including Christina Aguilera from a young age by her father, Ava Lily would replay her cassette over and over again until she perfected Christina's signature runs - I mean who wouldn't?! It wasn't until her father acquainted her to the rich, emotive and powerful vibrations of Amy Winehouse, more specifically her track titled 'Frank', that Ava Lily felt inspired to sit down and write her own lyrics.

Having spent hours perfecting her song writing in her bedroom, the ascending star had equipped herself with an indisputable talent. Journey on a few years later, the rising songstress uploaded a video of her covering 'I Can't Make You Love Me' on YouTube, little did she know that this would be the track that would get her signed to Naughty Boy's label. Moving to the big city of London, the Bristol native took her writing talents to various sessions with the likes of Emeli Sande, James Arthur and even ZAYN; in-fact, Ava Lily co-wrote ‘Common’ featured on his previous album 'Icarus Falls'.

Launching her career back in 2016 as her own artist with her vintage-felt debut single 'Painkiller', it wasn't until earlier this year in June that Ava Lily returned to our screens with her mesmerizing single titled, 'Blameless'. Encompassing a sultry vibe, this track was co-written alongside long-time friend and collaborator Gareth Esson. Stepping out as an independent artist, this was the turning point in which she would now unveil a more authentic and honest side to her music. Earlier this month, she blessed supporters with an angelic offering that saw her luscious vocals glaze the minimal Lo-Fi and RnB instrumental; exploring the motions of a breakup, Ava Lily teamed up with New York-based poet Allen Vartanian, whose previously written for hit-makers Dua Lipa, James Arthur, James Bay and more. With only a handful of singles behind her, it's safe to say this isn't the last time you'll hear of Ava Lily, with more music pending, make sure you don't miss out on greatness!
