South-East London based artist Harve has shared their bold and beautiful debut video for lead single Save Something taken directly off their Debut EP entitled ‘Held By The Moon’ produced by Kwes Darko (slowthai, Pa Salieu, Flohio, Sampa The Great). A merger of nostalgic R&B and experimental electronica that examines what it means to be a queer person in today's world, this is Harve's most poignant work to date. Over five tastefully crafted tracks, Harve discusses self-acceptance, relationships and doubts, effortlessly showing their confessional and innate ability for narrating such tales. ‘Held By The Moon’ slow burns like an eventide cigarette, blooming with impassioned lyricism, lo-fi rubato beats and a wash of flawlessly combined instruments from days past. An incredibly exciting new talent, the past few years have seen Harve in all the right places including supporting Celeste alongside Fredwave at one of their first headline shows and the debut EP firmly establishes them as a ‘one to watch’ for 2020 and beyond.

The visuals to 'Save Something' are an embodiment of all the various themes on the EP. Starring in the video is Harve's sister Nic, artist Veda Black and two incredible dancers from the community Fraser and Pierre. This stunning video is an exploration of the sometimes lonely world of making connections and simply existing in society as queer people. Shot in their own home in London, the treatment was written by Harve and brought to life by directer Mia Clark. In this gorgeous video, the house represents their sphere and each room represents a different connection; the people in the video joining and leaving each other, looking for the right person. The video ends with everyone all together, a message that despite their hardships, they have each other in the end.

“Held By The Moon” is music for you to listen to at night. I wrote most of the lyrics on bus journeys, staring out the window at all the lights, feeling so far away, but so connected to everyone. These are my honest moments wrapped up in blankets of sound. These are my stories, my relationships, my queerness, my fears, and my loves. These are the words I couldn’t say out loud. - Harve
