Simone Porte Jacquemus took us to one of the most historical places in fashion, the Palace of Versailles.
The Jacquemus Fall 2023 Collection was a stunning blend of elegance, simplicity, and architectural design, showcasing Simon Porte Jacquemus' talent for producing refined and modern designs. In this season, the French designer pushed fashion limits once more, presenting a collection shown in one of the most iconic fashion places in the world–the Palace of Versailles. As we knew Jacquemus through his past collections and label, he always pushed the limits of creativity. But for his latest show, he showcased exquisite tailoring throughout the collection with striking features. The clean lines and structural forms translated architectural design, exuded power, and modernism at its finest. The show consisted of sharp angles and exaggerated silhouettes, resonating a dramatic and sophisticated display.
The show unfolded like a symphony, with each passing model and each piece playing its own distinct note in a harmonious ensemble of style and substance. It presented a ballet of precision and elegance, captivating us with dramatic formations of clothing and creating a visual feast that left us breathless throughout the collection. Simone Porte Jacquemus defined heritage and history by staging his scenic show at the Palace of Versailles, the site of the renowned 'Battle of Versailles' in 1973. Furthermore, the entire collection drew inspiration from the late Princess Diana, paying homage to her timeless, elegant, and effortlessly chic style.
