Ella continues her lyrical diversity by crooning elegantly about her place in the world pondering about her distance from a place of comfort.
Born in London to Nigerian parents, on the beautifully written ‘How Long Til’ We’re Home’, Ego Ella May’s honey soaked vocals focuses on home and it’s various meanings, Ego explains “The song is about feeling lost about your place in the world, it's about longing for somewhere that FEELS like home… I wondered where is home anyway? Too African for Britain, too British for Africa”. Ego Ella May's latest offering is a beautifully soulful record with a high level of replay value in times of reflection and relaxation.
