Ego Ella May Reveals Captivating Video For New Single 'How Long 'Till We're Home'

Following her last track, 'Girls Don't Always Sing About Boys', Ego Ella May has unveiled the video for her new single, 'How Long 'Till We're Home,' taken from her anticipated debut album, 'Honey For Wounds', out this spring.

Merging the worlds of neo-soul and contemporary jazz in her sound, the soft sombre vocals of Ego Ella May swoon listeners through the idea of home and its various meanings. There is a stunning depiction and focus on multiculturalism, various communities and the impact of austerity within the video directed by Sheena Bonsu Brobbey. Ego herself explains about the track “The song is about feeling lost about your place in the world, it's about longing for somewhere that FEELS like home… I wondered where is home anyway? Too African for Britain, too British for Africa”.

You can watch the video, now, below. You can also purchase tickets to see Ego Ella May live in October at The Courtyard Theatre here.
