The two powerhouses in the female rap game decided to come together for this sultry new number, featuring star-studded cameos from Kylie Jenner, Normani, Rosalia, Rubi Rose, Sukihana and Mulatto.
This high-profile collaboration were tip-toeing in a seussian-styled house and peeking through doors whist rapping about what they love most. The most interesting part was defnitely the glamorous cameos that were featured and Cardi B mentioned on Apple Music why she chose these specific people. “I wanted a lot of different females, not just female rappers. Y’all going to see it on the music video as well, from models to influencers and everything.” Filled with delectable choreography and stunning visuals, both Cardi and Megan have continuously raised the stakes in the female rap game.
'WAP', produced by Ayo & Keyz is Cardi's first release since her 2019 single 'Press' which is now platinum certified. To further highlight today's release, Cardi B will also be leading a special Beats1 New Music Daily Radio takeover, which will be featuring an all-exclusive conversation with the guest stars of the video. Whilst being the first female artist to have five top 10 singles simultaneously on Billboard's "Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs" chart, Cardi is also the first female rapper to have two number 1 hits on the "Hot 100". Not only that, she has been awarded an abundance of nominations and wins. Whilst we collectively celebrate female artists coming together and creating home-run hits, 'WAP' certainly sets the bar high for anyone else who wants to play the game.
