Boiler Room's New Festival Is Giving The Club Lovers An Exciting Online Experience This Month

The deafening electric bass, blinding colored flashing lights, getting completely lost in the crazy mosh pits with sweaty strangers, and most especially the ecstatic anticipation coursing through your veins as you wait for the beat to drop is what we all desperately miss from the club scenes before the pandemic. Not to worry, Boiler Room might just have swooped in to save the day—and they did it with swag.

Today the iconic Boiler Room launches a 10-day festival this February, SYSTEMRESTART.TV; an online festival to support the club scene and sub-culture during the COVID-19 pandemic which unfortunately has extended into 2021. The festival promises to host a sensational programme of online activities—DJ sets, performances, talks, film screenings, and masterclasses—as it features a star-studded variety of digital shows from Nicola Cruz, Club Quarantine, Weirdcore, Goldie, Jenn Nkiru, Moxie, and more.

The festival comes as a result of Boiler Room collaborating with four of the world’s leading spirit brands—Absolut, Ballantine’s, Beefeater, and Jameson—in a collective effort to empower artists and collectives, unite the world's top culture figures, and most importantly offer an entertaining experience. Organized around four main channels: Club Quarantine, Rhythm Section, 4:3 Cinema, and Collective TV; the festival gives us a chance to still have some much-needed fun while adhering to the social distancing restrictions and lockdown. Alongside the festival, Boiler Room will also be launching a trio of protective masks with 100% of profits from sales going to #saveourvenues. (A fund run by Music Venue Trust aimed at preventing the permanent closure of vital UK revenues due to COVID-19)

Since their first session in March 2010, turned weekly show, Boiler Room has continued to bless the world with breath-taking performances. Pitch black basement parties had never been something to look forward to till Boiler Room came along. Through the years, with no sign of slowing down, they’ve shaped a new face of underground music and club culture. With this festival, they’ve done it again.
