Berlin-based singer, May, releases a preview to her forthcoming EP ‘When Mercury Fades'

Taken from her debut EP that is set to be released November 27th, May prepares us for a short journey of introspection and soulful vocal arrangements with her newest single ‘Islands and Waves’. With simple yet effective piano chords and moments of orchestral sounds weaved in, this is a laid back and unrestrained display of May’s lyrical and effortless vocal abilities.

The accompanying video opens with May emerging from the lake holding a wooden torch with a roaring flame then we follow as she trails through a hidden path amongst luscious greenery. May tells a uniquely personal story combining her experiences as a woman and her day to day experiences of living in Berlin. Speaking on the EP, she shares: “The entire EP is inspired by nature vs. nurture, it’s me figuring out how I fit into my surroundings.”
