Ayar Returns With Introspective EP 'Keeping Up With the Neighbours'

Following 2018's, 'Rhythms', East London native, Ayar, is finally back, drawing 2019 to a close with his latest project, 'Keeping Up With the Neighbours'. It is the diligent rapper's fifth project from the last three years.

The album starts right where we left off, as 'Chases' kicks in with a smooth jazz instrumental, a unique style which has forged the UK rapper's identity. We see this theme carried throughout the 6 track EP, which has evidently been backed by a high level of production.

Lyrically, Ayar continues his autobiographical approach, reflecting on his life in London and growing up. This is most noticeable on the track 'Dwelling', where Ayar discusses his newfound lifestyle as an upcoming artist and the dedication which is required to fulfil such a position ("When I'm married to the game"). Ayar also brings a groovy flow into the mix, which, accompanied by his tuneful voice, creates an amazing listening experience from start to finish.

We can expect more from the distinctive UK artist as 2020 lies just around the corner. Ayar already comes championed by the likes of Complex, MTV, Clash Magazine, The 405, Earmilk, London In Stereo, GRM Daily, Reprezent Radio, and SBTV, suggesting 2020 can only bring further success.
