Alus And Cakes Da Killa Collaborate On Bouncy New Track 'Wig' In Honour Of Pride Month

Announcing an NFT in which proceeds go towards the LGBTQIA+ charity Transgender Law Centre, Alus jumps back into the scene ahead of her ambitious 52 Shades of Alus series which saw her releasing a new track every week throughout 2020 and surpassing over one million plays in total. This rising star is back with a catchy new track 'Wig' with New York rap house artist Cakes Da Killa, known for their sharp flows on top of house anthems.

The single comes alongside a stunning music video, shot and directed by Sally Tran, as well as choreographed by the popular Omari Brown. With the choreography a visual embodiment of the term 'Wig', the track emits confidence, sass and freedom, as well as in a one shot take. The visuals also feature a cameo appearance from trans model and actress Yén Nguyen and vocal sample from Canada's Drag Race star Lemon. The visuals for this track are being auctioned off as an NFT with all the proceeds going to charity.

When speaking on the track, Alus states the inspiration behind 'Wig' comes from how it's of her favourite expressions and how it feeds into pop culture. Whilst this song captures the energy and expression of being amazed or taken aback, this track is a now one that is specifically for that moment.
