Afro Nation: A Movement - The Mini Doc That Delves Into The Impact of The World's Biggest Afrobeats Festival

Afro Nation is one of the world's biggest music festivals and has continued to amplify sounds from the African Diaspora and beyond ever since its debut in 2019 with the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, Buju Banton, Asake, Ms Banks and so many more previously gracing the infamous stage in Portugal. To celebrate another star-studded lineup and the continued success of Afro Nation, the festival has decided to commemorate the moment with a mini-documentary titled ‘Afro Nation: A movement’ featuring highlights from Afro Nation 2023, interviews with Eddie Kadi, The Compozers, Black Sherif, Musa Keys, DJ Skyla Tylaa, Afro Nation founders and more.

Additionally, the documentary has exclusive interviews, never-before-seen performances, behind the scenes footage that puts a spotlight on the ever-growing genre of Afrobeats and why it’s had an ever-lasting impact on music, fashion and culture, as sub-genres like Amapiano have also taken the world by storm. Shot in such a cinematic way this 17 minute documentary captures all of the best parts of the festival as the scenes show Portimao beach go from night to day, the energy and excitement from the fans is truly felt as support their favourite acts on stage.

This year the lineup for Afro Nation Portugal is even bigger and better than ever before as it returns to Portimao beach on The Algarve, for yet another amazing lineup from June 26-28 2024, with acts including Nicki Minaj, Rema, Asake, J Hus, Tyla, Fally Ipupa, Omah Lay and more on the main stage, plus Major League DJz, Uncle Waffles, Musa Keys, DBN Gogo, Focalistic, Vigro Deep and more on the Piano People stage.
