Afro Comb, a North London duo formed by two creative minds; Denzel Franco and Herself, released their debut single Bills + Tax featuring Domo Gorillie. The Judah Jump produced record incorporates euphoric piano cords and a steady drum pattern that compliments the warm vocals of 1/2 of Afro Comb, Herself. The colourful instrumental is also a sonically pure backdrop for the clear vocals of both lyricists on the song.
'Bills + Tax is a relatable song expressing the importance of friendship and surrounding oneself with positive, like minded people while transitioning into adult life. A reflective song that expresses the insecurities and exiting prospects of the future with a smooth outro.
An intimate film accompanies the single, bringing the audience along on a journey while showcasing authentic friendship. A filmed by YuNeek and edited by Afro Comb, shows an ordinary group of friends ‘spreading their wings, doing incredible things’.
