After an amazing whirlwind of promotion this past week with a giant sculpture of Scott’s head appeared on top of a Amoeba Music store in Los Angeles.Multiple copies of the sculpture appeared in various other locations, including Scott's hometown of Houston, Texas and in New York city at the Bathing Ape flagship store. Travis Scott has been noted informing his listeners that Astroworld was an amusement park in his native Houston that was destroyed, Travis explained to GQ "They tore down AstroWorld to build more apartment space. That’s what it’s going to sound like, like taking an amusement park away from kids. We want it back. We want the building back. That’s why I’m doing it. It took the fun out of the city.” Travis aims to bring a new structure and sound to music today.
